I will dominate 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
